What NIBIRU is and why it matters for the 2026 season

NIBIRU is the new "festival city" on the Romanian coast — an entertainment complex open daily between 16 July and 30 August 2026 in Costinesti. In its debut season, the programme spans 46 days of events, over 200 Romanian and international artists and a calendar with shows every single evening. The organisers estimate up to 2 million visitors across the whole season.

At the heart of the project are the 9 major festivals at Nibiru Arena — Galaxia, Nebula X, K-Pop Days, Rock Days, Stardust, Greek Spirit & Balkan Fire, Porc Fest, Astral Night and Retrograde — covering every important genre, from reggaeton and electronic to rock, K-pop, disco and hip-hop. On top of these come themed concerts and special days (Sea Days, 14–16 August; a Gipsy Kings concert). For anyone planning a coastal holiday in July or August, this means choosing a resort is no longer just about the beach: Costinesti becomes the country's music epicentre.

The complex runs across 4 distinct venues: Nibiru Arena (the main stage, the ticketed festivals), Nibiru Promenade / Center Stage (daily live shows, access with a minimum spend of 25 RON), Nibiru Beer Garden (separate entrance, eclectic lineup) and The Fool Nibiru (the stand-up comedy area). The season was opened in early July by Beach, Please! Festival (8–12 July), the largest hip-hop festival in Europe, which brought names like Playboi Carti, Yeat, Future, Don Toliver, Quavo and Tyla to Costinesti.

Nine major festivals at Nibiru Arena, plus Beach Please as the season opener and a series of themed concerts, cover almost seven weeks. Below is the programme confirmed on nibiru.net at the time of updating — always check the official site for up-to-date dates and prices:

Beyond the 9 festivals at Nibiru Arena, NIBIRU runs live shows every evening at the Promenade / Center Stage, with access based on a minimum spend of 25 RON (children under 5 enter free). The rotation includes big names of Romanian music — Smiley, Delia, INNA, Antonia, Carla's Dreams, Theo Rose, Minelli, Alex Velea, Irina Rimes, Puya and many others. In parallel, the Nibiru Beer Garden (powered by URSUS) has its own eclectic lineup (from Holograf and Vunk to party sets), and The Fool hosts stand-up nights with Micutzu, Bordea and others. In short, if you're in Costinesti in July or August, there's something to see every evening — with a ticket or just a drink.

Beach Please 2026 (8–12 July) — the festival that opened the season

Beach, Please! kept its classic early-July dates and opened the festival season in Costinesti. The 2026 edition — considered the largest hip-hop festival in Europe — brought major names from the international urban scene: Playboi Carti, Yeat, Future, Don Toliver, Quavo and Tyla, alongside Romanian artists such as B.U.G. Mafia, Alex Velea, Puya and Erika Isac. The festival took place on the beach in Costinesti, in an atmosphere already recognisable to hip-hop fans across Eastern Europe.

Galaxia Festival (17–19 July) — reggaeton and Latin energy

Galaxia officially opens the series of major festivals at Nibiru Arena. The theme is the Latino-reggaeton zone, with three days of music, dancing and open-air summer vibes. The confirmed lineup includes Hugel, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Clean Bandit, Inna, DJ Asto and DJ Faby, with Anuel AA among the names still being negotiated. The day-by-day programme is published on nibiru.net.

Tickets start at 299 RON (General Access), with Golden Circle (459 RON), VIP (1019 RON) and Ultra VIP (1274 RON) tiers; prices rise as the event date approaches. Access is from age 14 — minors aged 14 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent with their own ticket and a consent declaration.

Nebula X (23–26 July) — the biggest electronic festival on the coast

If Galaxia goes Latino, Nebula X goes electronic — techno, house and EDM — and is billed as the largest festival of its kind on the Romanian coast. The confirmed lineup brings names from the world's top tier of electronic music: Black Coffee, John Summit, Charlotte de Witte, Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers. Similar format and pricing to Galaxia — General Access from 299 RON, with Golden Circle, VIP and Ultra VIP tiers. Target audience: those who follow the club sound and the international DJ scene.

K-Pop Days, Rock Days, Stardust and the themed August series

August is dedicated to varied audiences. K-Pop Days (1–2 August) is the pilot programme for Romania's K-pop community (tickets from 199 RON General Access). Then comes Rock Days (7–8 August), with some of the most affordable tickets in the calendar (from 49 RON) and a solid Romanian rock lineup: Phoenix, Iris, Vita de Vie, Subcarpati, Zdob si Zdub, Vama, The Motans, Byron, Bosquito and others.

Stardust (15 August) brings the disco and dance of the '90s–2000s with Haddaway, Corona, ATC, Garcia and The Mad Stuntman, while Greek Spirit & Balkan Fire (21 August) is a Balkan and Mediterranean themed night with Gipsy Kings, Elli Kokkinou and Ionut Galani, plus regional food. The end of the season also includes two new events — Porc Fest (22–23 August), a party with a gastronomic focus, and Astral Night (27 August), a themed event just before the grand closing festival. Alongside these, the calendar has one-night concerts at Nibiru Arena, such as Beach, Please! Party (4 August) with Erika Isac, Rava and Vanilla, and the special Sea Days (14–16 August).

Retrograde Festival (28–30 August) — the season finale with Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe

If you have to pick a single NIBIRU festival, Retrograde deserves serious consideration. The theme is 2000s culture and hits, and the confirmed international lineup brings names that defined American hip-hop and R&B: Timbaland, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Keri Hilson and Eve. Alongside them, the stage features regional artists and DJs who mix 2000s nostalgia with today's sound. Three days of festival, General Access from 299 RON, and the most symbolically charged moment of the season — the official close of summer on the Romanian coast, on 30 August.

How to buy tickets and at what prices

All tickets are sold exclusively on nibiru.net. A few practical details to keep in mind:

• For the big festivals (Galaxia, Nebula X, Retrograde) prices come in four tiers: General Access 299 RON, Golden Circle 459 RON, VIP 1019 RON and Ultra VIP 1274 RON. Prices rise as the event approaches, so it's worth buying early.
• K-Pop Days has its own schedule: 199 RON (General Access), 359 RON (Golden Circle), 919 RON (VIP), 1174 RON (Ultra VIP).
• The most affordable tickets are for Rock Days, Stardust and the one-night events — from 49 RON.
• For those who want everything, there's the NIBIRU Bundle — the pass valid for all 46 days, with access to every festival, between 2499 and 5000 RON (it does not include the Amusement Park, The Fool and Hype Play).
• The Nibiru Promenade is accessed without a classic ticket, with a minimum spend of 25 RON; children under 5 enter free.
• Tickets are nominal and cannot be transferred after purchase. The attendee's name must be entered within 7 days.
• Minimum age: 14. Minors aged 14–15 must be accompanied by a parent with their own ticket.

How to get to NIBIRU from Bucharest, Constanta or the airport

Costinesti sits on the DN39, between Eforie Sud and 23 August, roughly 250 km from Bucharest (3–3.5 hours by car) and 30 km from Constanta. By train, Costinesti station has direct connections from Bucharest throughout the summer. Mihail Kogalniceanu International Airport (Constanta) is 52 km away — a taxi or ride-share takes about 50 minutes.

If you're driving, parking can be a real problem in season — Costinesti is a small resort and in July–August parking spaces are scarce. Accommodation with its own parking (like Radel House, with free video-monitored parking) becomes a concrete advantage.

Accommodation near NIBIRU: what "nearby" means in Costinesti

Costinesti is a compact resort — its diameter is no more than 2 km. That means almost any accommodation in the resort is close enough to Nibiru Arena for distance not to be a problem. The difference is made by the basic comforts: parking, AC, WiFi, the ability to make a meal when you get back at 4 a.m. and nothing else is open.

Radel House is about 2 km from Nibiru Arena — a 20–25 minute walk, or five minutes by car or bike. We have 16 fully equipped triple rooms, free video-monitored private parking, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave, a barbecue gazebo in the inner courtyard, inverter AC in every room and high-speed WiFi (328 Mbps) throughout the building. For festival-goers, two things matter especially: parking (free and monitored at Radel House, which counts when public parking in Costinesti is full) and the walking distance to the festival (under 25 minutes, so you can return to your room whenever you like, without depending on a taxi that can take tens of minutes on busy nights). If you plan to stay several nights covering two consecutive festivals — for example Beach Please plus Galaxia — the private kitchen significantly reduces the total cost of your stay.

When to book accommodation for the NIBIRU 2026 festivals

For the most sought-after festivals (Beach Please, Galaxia and Retrograde), quality accommodation in Costinesti fills up months in advance. At Radel House we only have 16 rooms — these book up faster for festival days than for the rest of the season. If your target is one of the dates above, our recommendation is to book at least 6–8 weeks ahead. For Retrograde (end of season, end of August) the pressure is a little lower, but for Beach Please and Galaxia occupancy often reaches 100% even a month before.
